10 Reasons Why SeeReal is the Healthiest Cereal Ever Made

10 Reasons Why SeeReal is the Healthiest Cereal Ever Made

All Cereals Are Not Created Equal

It is estimated that over 40 million boxes of ready-to-eat cereal are sold every week in the US (probably more!). Cereal is advertised as a quick, convenient option for parents to give their kids on busy school days, but is it really all that healthy? Our answer is a big N-O.

Most of the boxes of cereal on grocery store shelves consist mainly of highly processed grains, added sugars, refined vegetable oils, and artificial colorings and flavorings. By the time the food manufacturers are done processing it, there are very little nutrients left, which is why they need to add them back in using synthetic vitamins and minerals.

However , we just released our megafood cereal line, SeeReal, which is packed with raw, organic, REAL ingredients such as: fruits, vegetables, and sprouted seeds that contain REAL nutrients.

Read on to find out how you can eat your cereal and have it be healthy too. Here we list the top 10 reasons why SeeReal is the healthiest, most nutritious cereal that you can purchase for yourself and your family.

10 Reasons Why SeeReal is the Healthiest Cereal Ever Made:

**Listed In No Specific Order**

1. Real Food Ingredients

SeeReal has real food in it, while other cereals contain GMO’s and other fake, overly processed ingredients. If you read a cereal ingredient list, you are likely to notice a long list of ingredients that you have never heard of before. Food manufacturers have to add these ingredients in order to increase the shelf life of the cereal and improve the flavor that goes away when the food is no longer fresh.

SeeReal has a very short list of sprouted, organic superfood ingredients, such as sprouted broccoli seeds and sprouted sunflower and flaxseeds. Depending on the flavor of SeeReal, it also contains anti-inflammatory superfood powders that have many health benefits, including turmeric, cacao, and spirulina.

2. Real Food = Real Nutrients

Most cereals do not contain any natural nutrients, but the government makes it mandatory for cereal to contain a certain amount of vitamins and minerals. Then how does the food manufacturers get vitamins and minerals into their cereal?

Lab-created vitamins and minerals are sprayed onto the cereal. SeeReal contains only natural vitamins and minerals that are naturally present in the real food ingredients. This means that all you are getting is REAL nutrients from REAL food.

3. Contains Sulforaphane

SeeReal is the first of its kind to contain sulforaphane (SFN), which is a potent, health-promoting phytochemical found in broccoli seeds. Sulforaphane (SFN) has many health promoting properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial (fights off germs such as bacteria and viruses), anti-aging, neuroprotective (protects brain cells), and antidiabetic properties.

Another reason SFN is so magical is that it has been shown to help prevent and treat a variety of chronic disease conditions, including:

  • Cancer
  • Heart Disease
  • Autism
  • Diabetes
  • Improves Gut Health
  • Improves Mental Health

4. Positively Processed

SeaReal is positively processed, which means that it is processed in a manner that helps to both maintain and increase its nutritional integrity.

Conversely, other cereals are processed using extreme amounts of heat and pressure, which destroys their nutritional value (this is why the nutrients need to be added back in). There is never any heat or pressure used in the making of SeeReal, which ensures that its nutrients are maintained and preserved.

This makes SeeReal the least processed cereal that you can find.

5. High in Fiber

SeeReal is high in fiber, having 5-8 grams of fiber per serving—thanks to its real food ingredients. Most cereal on the market is low in fiber, having 2 grams or less per serving. Fiber helps to:

  • Keep us feeling satisfied and full
  • Prevents blood sugar crashes that will leave you feeling hangry a few hours later
  • Provides our bodies with sustained energy
  • Plus, it is amazing for digestive health because it helps to feed the beneficial bacteria in our microbiome!

6. Real Sugars from Real Fruit

SeeReal contains natural sugar that comes from fruit, which in this case is dates. Dates are the fruit of the date palm tree that grows in tropical regions around the world. Dates are naturally sweet and also contain important nutrients like fiber, potassium, magnesium, copper, manganese, and vitamin B6. On the other hand, most cereal contains added sugars, which are highly processed and not naturally present in food.

There are over 50 different types of added sugars, which gives food manufacturers the upper hand. This is because they tend to add multiple types of added sugars to cereal. Why you ask? So they don’t have to list sugar as the first ingredient on the food label.

Food ingredients are listed in descending order with the ingredients used in the greatest amount first, followed by ingredients used in smaller amounts. This means that if sugar is the first ingredient listed, then the cereal is mainly composed sugar. BUT, if the food manufacturer adds different types of added sugars such as fructose, maltodextrin, and corn syrup, then they can list these further and further down the ingredient list since they are added in smaller amounts. Additionally, added sugars are empty calories that do not provide any beneficial nutrients.

7. Healthy Fats from Sprouted Seeds

SeeReal contains healthy fats from real food like sprouted sunflower seeds and flaxseeds. Sunflower seeds consist of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat, which have been shown to protect against high blood pressure and heart disease. Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of omega-3’s, which has major health benefits.

Most cereals contain highly processed omega-6 vegetable oils like canola oil, which give them their fat content. These oils undergo a refining process that involves chemical solvents, steamers, neutralizers, de-waxers, bleach, and deodorizers. The solvent commonly used to process these oils is a harmful, toxic chemical called hexane. Exposure to hexane has been shown to be cancer-causing to humans and is also harmful to the environment. Additionally, these oils are highly inflammatory and overconsuming them may lead to an increased risk of heart disease and other chronic diseases.

 8. Made with Organic Ingredients

SeeReal is made with organic, real food ingredients. Other cereals are made with GMOs. For example, unless your box of cereal has an organic stamp on it, you can almost guarantee that the grains, vegetable oils, and/or added sugars in it are GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Otherwise, you can’t be sure because the government does not require food manufacturers to label whether or not their product contains GMOs. Genetically engineered foods are very different from “normal” food. This is because foreign genes, bacterial and viral vectors, viral promoters, and antibiotic marker systems have been engineered into these foods without extensive safety testing. GMOs may have the following health risks:

  • Toxic effects. Inserting genes into food may cause the food to become unstable and make it unsafe to eat.

  • Suppresses our immune system. Studies done on rats have shown that eating GMOs lead to significant, negative effects on organ development, metabolism, and immune function.
  • Affects our organ negatively. Studies have shown GMO consumption can lead to changes in the functioning of the liver, pancreas, kidneys, and reproductive organs.

9. Made with Sprouted Ingredients

SeeReal is made with sprouted ingredients like sprouted flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, and broccoli seeds. Sprouting foods helps to put less work on our digestive system and makes it easier for our bodies to absorb the food’s nutrients. Sprouting also helps to:

  • Increase the foods’ antioxidant content, which helps to decrease inflammation and damage to our cells.
  • Increases the nutritional value of the food

    10. Never Made with Additives

SeeReal is made with real food ingredients that are positively processed, which means that the food is still alive and raw and contains all of its natural nutrients.

Other cereals almost always contain artificial colorings and flavorings and other harmful, fake ingredients. Your favorite processed cereal probably contains an additive called butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). BHT helps to keep the vegetable oils found in cereals from going rancid. Studies have shown BHT to be cancer-causing

Kids who eat breakfast are less likely to be overweight and perform significantly better at school than kids who don’t eat breakfast. However, not all breakfast cereals are good for us.

SeeReal contains only REAL food ingredients and REAL nutrients compared to leading cereals that contain highly processed fake food ingredients that have been shown to be harmful to health and contain little, if any natural nutrients.

Eating REAL food and REAL nutrients has an enormous positive effect on our health, wellbeing, and vitality. Make sure that the cereal you or your kids choose to eat every morning is one that will help to improve our health versus one that diminishes it!
